ARGH! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET HUBBY TO ORDER THIS CUSTOM BABY BODY SUIT..To Be Met With Excuses! ARGH!

it is so frustrating to me when i have an idea, that could potentially launch another idea off into a paying market, theres always ALWAYS some sort of roadblock.

for severla days i have reminded hubby i needed to get this custom baby body suit (onzie) to have for my doll to wear, so i can have his baby pic ON something, and not have to carry around a picture that i could potentially lose.

so i came up with the idea to make a custom onzie with my sosn infant pic on it, so it would be easy for ppl to see the resemblance from the doll to my son.

and every day...there was some reason i couldnt get it..over and over and over.

im not gonna lie, it really frustrates me!
and ticks me off.

just admit you forgot! just say we dont have it in the budget right now!
DO NOT keep leading me on with excuse after excuse after excuse and making me think we can get it.

makes me so mad!

anyway, i have to wait till the 5th to get it...wonder what the excuse will be that day?

TORY KIT ARRIVES (just In Time For My Birthday!)

i am excited. way more than before.
i mean i had allot of enthusiasm for reborning, but THIS kit..i think will make the difference.

i finally decided to get the Tory kit, to do a custom of my son as an infant.

its that intense scowling look i was after. and i think the TORY kit, will follow through for me in my delivery of what i envision in my head.

so, we ordered the kit. and today (the day before my birthday) she arrived!

here spics of what all i ordered,because i got more than just the kit, i got everything i needed to make TOry into a custom of my son Daniel.

and, i wanted the custom of my son to be my 1st adventure into reborning. i adore my son, and he was an excellent baby. my memories of him as an infant are pricless, so i wanted to take on as my 1st project Him, because he was such a delight. i thought if i did him, and did ok, id do others as good, if not better.

i am well aware that my 1st attempt at a doll, and it being Him, may not be a successful adventure, but..i will love every minute of it, because its my son. :)

plugs and neck ring, neck ring is used to give the head turnability. plugs are used to keep glass beads and filling in the head and limbs once filled.

i didnt know this, but the bodys come with zip ties for you already in place...

mohair. Dark brown-wavy (2pks), 1 Ash Blond-wavy. its not well known but my son has a small bit of blond hair (fine baby whispy hair) at the hair line on his forhead. when his hair is cut just right, and you have the right lighting, it glows like a halo. i bought the blond in case i decided to root that. i may end up painting it, i havnt decided yet.

i also ordered 3 different sets of blue eyes, because i couldnt decide which one i thought would be perfect in this kit for a custom of my son. so i got: True Blue, Newborn baby blue, and new born blue grey

pantyhose to hold the glass beads and allow for the mobility of them, they are used to weight the baby. Daniel weight 7lbs 15oz when he was born. i want to try to get that

GLASS BEADS..this is what you weight the head, and body and limbs with to give the doll that newborn floppy feel. Daniel weight 7lbs 15oz when he was born. i want to try to get that as close to his actual weight as much as possible, so i ordered..6 pounds, given the weight of the vinyl as the other part to the dills weight.

all of this..for less than 150.00!!!

yup, im guessing those gorilla blank kits wont be coming out before my birthday, and times running out (if we consider shipping for all of this) for my birthday.

so, i asked hubby if that "ok" meant i could get the entire thing, as i had figured it all out WITH shipping.
and he said "yes"...so, i did it.

i got everything i think id need to make my 1st custom of Daniel.
and hed be a highlighted doll on my webpage. and of course, id keep him hes NOT FOR SALE! lol

 what most people dont know about my son, and it still stands true todate, is right at his forhead hairline he has some blond hair ther, its slightly visible in the picture i provided, but most wont see it because they would just blend the color into the rest of his hair color.
but i know he has it, when his hair is cut just short enough to see it, and if, when he was an infant, id brush his hair just the right way, youd see that blond glow there and it was almost angelic.
so i ordered some blond.
still not sure if ill paint those wispy blond hairs, and not root them, but i wanted to have that option in case i did chose to root them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

im actually really ready to dive into doing this particular kit, because i think i can do this.
there si, im sure a learning curve, but im pretty confident i can master this, and actually make some money off of this.
not sure why i couldnt get off the ground with any of the other kits i own (15 others) but i couldnt.
perhaps its like when i draw, i have to have a picture to reference from in order to make that drawing come to life. all free hand.
and with this kit, i have pics of daniel to reference, so its , somewhat, to me, like painting a painting (in 3-D) of Daniel.
so, i have no fear, just excitement for this particular kit.

once i have done him, i think i can free-flow on the others.

im also, swelling up in my mind with all the details i need for a well pull-together web page.
so, ive been hunting that all down as well.
looking at many other reborn artists web pages too see whats most common on them.
how they handle navigation on those pages.
what they look like (which i am not sure YET, how mine will look).

so much to think about when your launching your hobby out there for the world to see and rate you on!

SO MY 45th BIRTHDAY IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

and i asked my husband if he had purchased this one item (not anything really to do with reborning) yet, to which he says, "no. i was waiting for you to decide what you wanted off that baby site (refering to BountifulBaby.com).

i was like...UGH! SERIOUSLY?!?! we had had a disscussion about this just this week, and how i was trying to wait for them to come out with the blank versions of KIWIW and PEARL (which are available right now, prepainted and pre-rooted.

i want to make them myself...not have had someone else make them, altho...this way (the way they are right now) would be super easy to push out and sell.
i just dont feel right charging regular prices (for a doll *I* did) for a doll kit someone else took the time to do. i feel the value would be in the kit price, and the stuffing, and the weighting material, clothes, etc i would also sell along with it. which isnt nearly as much as a doll id do on my own and took the time to invest into.

so, anyway, i go looking on BountifulBaby.com and saw that TORY (a kit ive been wanting) was still on sale.
so, i figured id do TORY, and make her into my son, Daniel. as my 1st Custom doll.

so, i did some calculating, figured out what the cost of all the parts and pieces would be all together, and it comes to just under (as i have figured with almost every other kit) 150.00 as a base price.

so i tell craig that to whcih he says: "ok."

im confused is that "ok" telling me to order everything? or thats just "ok" to know?

i dont know cause he went to bed, lol

so, im planning on getting TORY at least for a Birthday gift, to make into my 1st custom.

WALMART HAUL - NEWBORN MONKEY INSPIRED CLOTHES x 2

 i couldnt resist this set for the price!
and it is hard enough to find anything basic in monkey, but i happened to luck upon this set (pants, shirt, and onsie) in a monkey theme.
there was the cutest GIRL set as well, in the same theme, but in pink colors. so cute.

so craig agreed to get it, its 2 outfits for the price of one.
ill use the onsie as a single outfit, with some socks, and shoes.
and the shirt and the pants as an outfit as well...

and lucky for me (if they are still there  when i go back) i found MONKEY socks on the sale isle in baby size too! i hope they are still there because i intend to get several pairs each time i go to stock up on them for my dolls.

i was thinking one of these outfits would be the one id use on the doll i make of Daniel...
oh! and IF this set is still available in the Girl outfits (Onsie, Shirt, Pants) ill be getting that as well on my next visit to walmart!
