BAKING A BABY

so, after you paint veins, you can bake your kit.

i took pics of my kit in my halogen heat cooker. because the heads a bit big i have to cook this kit in stages. limbs then head.

that film on the cooker part isnt condensation, thats some emition of checmical either from the paints but i suspect more from the vinyl itself.

its recommended that if you cook your vinyl in anything (and many people cook in the same oven they make food in) its advisable to not taint the environment you cook your food in.
im glad i got this cooker, because i can plainly see, after one use...the film thats built up on the cooker. imagine if thats on your oven and seeps into your food. food for thought.

HALOGEN HEAT COOKER HAS ARRIVED!

i finally decided to get a halogen heat cooker, because in all actuality i felt if i had the cooker near me, id have more control over the process of the baking a baby, then if i was to allow the baby to cook in my oven.

i also thought hard about the fact that there are fumes released as well, that can harm you over time if you use your oven.
and im not sure why that played any part of my deciding, cause we NEVER use the oven for anything, excpt too keep meals warmed and away from animals...but i decided i wanted a table top cooker instead of the oven as my form of cooking.

so, i scoured the net, found a good one that had a DIAL thermostat and DIAL timer (i read over and over that digitals broke down) and an EXTENDER RING, for as little as possible.

and we bought it.

couldnt wait for it to arrive so i could use it.

well, it arrived. and i had the thrill of taking it out and looking it over. these are some pics.
ENJOY! MICHELLE

i have to commend this company for the way this item is packed! it was very difficult to pull out of the box. and nothing was broken.
lip, very heavy. has a dial thermostat and a dial timer (that dings when done)
pic of the extras in the pot
extras, theres allot in there.
other side of the bag holding the extras
exender ring..VERY important to have with your cooker. keeps the lid away from your vinyl, so it doent melt it.
glass basin. very heavy and thick.
base for the unit.
and here it is, with the small rack and the larger rack holding my teagan kit.

I TOOK THE PLUNGE-I ORDERED A HALOGEN HEAT OVEN

as i continue to research trying to make sure i have all my ideas ready, and everything i feel i need to start reborning..i had read a forum post about halogen heat ovens.

had no clue what those were, did a google and found several different brands of them.
naturally i was appealed to the cheaper of the lisings, when i did my searching a bit deeper, reading reviews of customers, and forum posts, and found i MUST have the dial verses the digitals.

and it MUST have an extender ring to raise the heat bullb up so not to melt the vinyl kits..
i had looked, relooked and looked some more. until i was about halogen heat oven looked out.

just happened we had some extra cash, so i asked my dead husband if hed get me one, and he agreed.
on the 18th ill have my "oven" to bake my babies in..

NO MORE EXCUSES! time to start painting...and making babies.

and wouldnt you know it, AFTER i have bought the thing i find some places carry it in...YELLOW! lol

cant wait!
